SPECTRUM
This project examines fashion as a vessel for memory, presence, and absence, inspired by Susan Sontag. Through sustainable upcycling, discarded garments are revived with careful craftsmanship, creating a resistance to fast consumption and inviting a slower, more conscious way of looking. The collection develops in three movements: translucent garments reveal layered histories, tailoring archetypes are reconstructed from textile waste, and photographic negatives imprint spectral silhouettes and traces of past wearers. Photography acts as both medium and metaphor: a sign of absence and suspended time transforming each piece into a ghostly artifact that holds memory and opens space for new narratives.
